Paul has worked primarily in Kenya but has managed businesses across sub-saharan Africa and conducted various studies into markets including West Africa. Paul was the transaction team lead/ advisor for an acquisition bid (due diligence, valuation) for the Chevron affiliates in East, South and West Africa in 2008 and has worked on several ExxonMobil global project teams.
His has chaired and worked in multiple petroleum industry supply committees, Vessel Scheduling, Demurrage committee, development of petroleum product tender procedures (LPG), development of Oil & Gas downstream operations modelling e.g. LPG pricing, development of Oil & Gas operational models. Paul is also a Retail Expert with significant retail experience as an Engineer and as Business Leader having worked as a Retail Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager. He has experience with Business planning, Market Entry Studies for various Oil & Gas companies and has coordinated a GIS system for a local Oil Marketing Company.
Paul has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and MBA from University of Nairobi, Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and is a Member of CIM.
James has vast experience in Oil & Gas terminal construction, commissioning and management in which he has won several accolades.

James has constructed, commissioned and managed two World-class LPG Facilities, the largest then in East and West Africa.
Most recently, James was General Manager, Weld-Con Ltd, (a Company which provides engineering services to Oil and Gas, Power Generation, and Mining infrastructure sectors in East and Central Africa) where he more than doubled its turnover in 3 years. He has also held Directorships at ExxonMobil Aviation Southern Africa Cluster, Mumias Sugar Company Limited (as Chair & member of various committees); and Navgas Limited, Nigeria (where he was CEO and Managing Director). He is currently a member of the Board of Governors of Ramogi Institute of Advanced Technology (RIAT) and Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KENGEN).
He is a strong quality manager having delivered international certifications (ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001) while working for ExxonMobil and Weld-Con Ltd as well as multiple merit awards at Country, Region and Global levels for safety excellence with ExxonMobil.
James holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from University of Nairobi. He is widely travelled; having been stationed for duty in Kenya, Belgium, and Nigeria, supervised projects and undertaken consultancy work in Tanzania, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Somalia, and attended several workshops and training assignments in Singapore, United Arab Emirates, India, Europe, and USA.
Nyaga is a Mobility Expert with broad experience including in Oil & Gas Retail Station Design and Installation and Manufacturing Systems.

In his work with Engineering Design Partnership, Nyaga has designed, supervised and commissioned construction projects for a number of Oil Marketing Companies in Kenya including Gulf Energy and National Oil Corporation of Kenya. He has also constructed several power distribution and road construction projects in various locations in Kenya.
In his capacity at STA, he has worked on various consultancy projects including projects for the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) transport unit, the World Bank, the African division of the International Association of Public Transport (UATP), National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), Petroleum Institute of East Africa (PIEA) and the Kenya Government’s Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environment and the Motor Vehicle Inspection Unit.
Prior to this Nyaga was Engineering Manager and later Manufacturing manager at the BAT main factory in Nairobi where he implemented Safety and Risk management actions including installation of fire detection and fire-fighting systems as part of the business continuity committee of the company.
Nyaga has a B.Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London, England and a master’s degree (MSc) in Computer Integrated Engineering from Loughborough University, England.
Paul is a Mechanical Engineer with MBA in Strategic Management and a
Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM-UK.
